Perennial shrub, with a characteristic appearance, aroma and woody base.<\/p>

Its leaves are lobed, elongated, thick, white-green or gray in color and quite fluffy.<\/p>

Its flowers grow in spines, are purple in color and bloom from May to June.<\/p>

Properties<\/h4>

The etymology of the word Salvia comes from the Latin 'salvere' which means 'feel good and healthy'.<\/p>

It is an herb with a long tradition that dates back to ancient times. It was considered a sacred plant, as it was used in purification ceremonies.<\/p>

Its burning invigorates the body and spirit, aiding the ritual. Even today it is used as an herb that \"cleanses\" the atmosphere of negative energy.<\/p>

Its tonic actions on the body and mind were quickly noticed by Dioscorides, Galen and Hippocrates, who included it in many medicinal uses of the time.<\/p>

The composition of the micronutrients it contains, and especially the combination of antioxidants with phenolic compounds, create properties capable of protecting, healing and promoting the nervous system.<\/p>

Specifically, reduces possible inflammations<\/strong> in this, it improves cases of mild depression, increases memory and cognitive performance.<\/p>
