The main components of Laurel essential oil are 1,8-cineole, α-pinene, α-terpinyl acetate, linalool and β-pinene.

Laurel essential oil has analgesic and warming properties. It is used in many massage oils as when applied topically it gives the skin a warm sensation. It is used in aromatherapy to relieve arthritis, rheumatism, back pain, muscle pain, sprains, ear infections.

Laurel essential oil is used in aromatherapy for arthritis, insomnia, dermatitis, as an insect repellent, warming, antiseptic, aphrodisiac and tonic. Also for bruises, wounds, haematomas, rheumatism, hair loss and concentration enhancer.

Laurel essential oil combines very well with: Eucalyptus, Fennel, Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme, Ylang Ylang, Orange, Lemon, Clove, Sage, Honeysuckle, Balsam, Citronella & Basil.

Well known that the ancient Greeks crowned the winners of the races with a laurel wreath, the Pythia chewed bay leaves before giving her oracle. Laurel oil with its earthy, sweet aroma boosts self-confidence, strengthens self-concentration, facilitates the quiet of thoughts and strengthens the mind. It has analgesic properties, relieving pain associated with arthritis, rheumatism, or sore muscles after an intense workout. In addition, it has anti-bacterial and fungicidal action.

Massage: add 15 drops of essential oil to 50ml of almond oil and gently massage the painful areas of the body.

Hair mask: mix 15 drops of laurel essential oil with 50ml of olive oil. Lightly massage the hair and wrap with a towel for 30'. Continue bathing as normal. It warms and stimulates the scalp. Treats hair loss, oiliness and dandruff.

Enhancing concentration: in times of great mental fatigue, put 3-4 drops of the essential oil on a handkerchief and inhale at regular intervals. It helps with mental balance.
